WHEN THE BIRDS AREN'T FREE TO BE BURIED

Eight-year-old SAMI is an Arab refugee living in Iran while his father is away fighting in the Iran-Iraq war. Desperate to fit in with the other kids, Sami sets his sights on earning enough money to buy a pair of blue jeans. But when his family’s visas are about to expire, leaving them at risk of deportation back to Saddam’s Iraq, Sami must put aside his dreams to help save his family.
